Thrifty

Some recent finds from a local thrift store, first off a heavy awesome brass ashtray (yea I smoke) and a mid century record cabinet (which I didn't buy, but may go back for. Just don't have room for it) By the way has anyone had any experience modifying one of these into a bookshelf/storage/credenza?
